Rebekah's Graduation at Cal Poly 12.08.07
IT IS FINISHED!! Well, at least for a few months. Then, Rebekah will start afresh on another college campus in pursuit of a master's degree. For now we rejoice with her accomplishments, which include a BS in Psychology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
Friends and family weathered the cold and wind to join her on December 8, 2007 to witness the graduation ceremonies. Alissa drove up on Friday to spend the night with Bek. Grandparents Ruth and Wally Nickles also arrived on Friday after crossing the state from Madera County. A van full of us made the trip up and back from Thousand Oaks on Saturday; Grandparents Jake and Lucy Ballard, Doug and Leesi, John and Valerie Duda and Jesse and Emily.
Emily and Jesse had to leave their studies behind for the weekend. It was a sacrifice for the both of them, as finals week starts December 10. Emily was especially stressed since her Anatomy final is Monday.
Although it was a full day, a bit cold and windy, all went as well as could be expected and we had a wonderful celebration with Rebekah. We are all very proud of her and look forward to more success in the future.
